Humanoid hands have to stay useful after the first successful grasp. AGIBOT's October 29 hardware announcements link new manipulation components to a wider attempt to sustain robot work, including thermal management and changes to the underlying platform.

At its Innovation Day, AGIBOT presented the OmniHand 3 Lite, OmniHand 3 and OmniHand 3 Ultra, plus an OmniPicker 3 tactile gripper. They were announced alongside the AHA3 hardware architecture and a joint liquid-cooling system. The company positions these developments for more demanding, sustained operation. AGIBOT's October 29 announcement.

The hand is part of a mechanical and thermal system

A dexterous hand's usefulness depends on more than its number of movements. Contact sensing, actuator temperature and the loads transmitted through the wrist influence which tasks it can repeat. A hand that grasps well for a short demonstration may behave differently after repeated cycles or prolonged holding.

Presenting a family of hands and a tactile gripper recognizes that different tasks may need different end effectors. A more anthropomorphic hand can offer flexibility, while a simpler gripper may suit a defined handling operation. The announcement does not provide a common comparison of their object coverage, duty cycles or maintenance requirements.

Do not transfer a component rating to the complete humanoid

AGIBOT also describes specialized joints with IP67 protection. That statement is component-specific. It does not establish the same protection for the complete robot, every hand or a particular assembled configuration. Buyers need the boundary of each rating and the conditions under which it applies.

The near-term decision is therefore which hand and body configuration matches an actual task. A useful acceptance trial would repeat the relevant grasps over a meaningful operating period, record unsuccessful attempts and interventions, and examine how wear or heat changes behavior.

The longer-term opportunity is a modular platform whose manipulation options can evolve without rebuilding the entire machine. Evidence for that requires compatible delivered hardware, documented limits and repeatable work. The next milestone is product-specific specifications and sustained tests that turn the announced range into a practical choice.
